After surfing online this morning I came across some simple backpacks that would be very cost effective and would look great monogrammed. What do you think? Would your child like one of these? I have not ordered them yet, but if you are interested in one please let me know. These can also have any of my designs or appliques added to them along with a name.

Wow, it's been over 3 weeks since my last post! Between my husbands family visiting us for a long weekend, the holiday, and a week of sick kids I feel like I'm just now getting back into the swing of things. Before we know it, school will be starting!!!

Which brings me to monogrammed backpacks and school tees....

We have backpacks in stock that can be monogrammed and will hold a 3 ring binder. The "Large" style backpacks are the regular size that would be needed for school. Our drawstring backpacks and small/medium size backpacks are not large enough for the 3-ring binders, but are great for kids day out and daycare.

If you already have your backpack, bring it to us for monogramming. Have your child's name or initials monogrammed for $10.
Don't forget to support your school with one of our personalized tees or "Kindergarten Rocks", "1st Grade Rocks" tee.

I've been getting a lot of interest for birthday outfits lately so I thought I would share some of my past creations with you.

The cupcake is still my favorite for birthdays. This shirt is available in a short sleeve or sleeveless style and I now have ruffle shorts, just like our pants everyone loves!

I recently had a customer ask to match her son's birthday shirt to his train theme.....

I think I did pretty good!

I really love tutu's, I just have not found the time to get them online yet. This birthday onesie and matching tutu is so simple and sweet ...they sure don't stay this size forever.

Vacation is OVER!

Well, I tried really hard to take time off, but wasn't very good at it. I have a hard time saying "NO" so I've decided to go ahead and open back up early.

After much thought, I think I've come up with a better way for getting orders out in under two weeks .....day care! Yep, that's right. I am now spending 2-3 days a week sewing (Tue, Wed and Thurs) while the kids play and have fun at a local daycare/preschool -they LOVE IT! I am going to try really hard to only work on those days, so please allow 2 weeks for your orders. I hope to separate family time and work time, which is really hard to do when you work out of your house.

I will be posting some of our new 4th of July designs very soon, so check back!

Ideas for Mother's Day

Well, now that the allergies are under control we are dealing with a flu bug that the kids and I have been fighting for the last 5 days ...will this ever end??? I am still working on getting orders caught up so please be patient with me, I am sorry if you have been waiting to receive your order. It does not help my work schedule when I have to keep my 4 year old boy home from school. I have my mom coming to help tomorrow, so I should get completely caught up then.

On a good note, I received a shipment of charms yesterday. Check out my new item for the web site, Hand Stamped Jewelry. The entire necklace is made from sterling silver and can be personalized to your specifications. Each necklace comes with a hand stamped charm, attached pearl and a 16" or 18" ball chain necklace. You can also add two or three charms to the necklace for multiple kids. I have the scalloped charm for girls and a round charm for boys. The heart stamp can be left off if you prefer.

I have a limited quantities of these, so if you would like one for Mothers Day order soon. I will have them available for pick up on Friday after I get caught up on current orders.

Getting caught up....

I am sorry for those of you who have been waiting for your orders. I am working very hard this weekend to get caught up. If only the pollen and mold count would go down!!! This is the first year that my son, Oscar, has had allergies ...and boy are they bad! He is coughing all night long and waking with eyes swollen shut, or at the very least sealed shut from all the drainage. Now, we are treating an eye infection in both eyes (which was probably brought on my rubbing his eyes with dirty hands while playing outside) so I know it will take awhile to get them cleared up. He hates having drops put into his eyes 4x/day, poor thing.

Ava in her Reindeer Outfit

I purchased a new camera this year in hopes to take some of my own pictures for the web site, but my model doesn't always agree with my plans.

Here are just a few shots, out of the probably 200 pictures, that I took that hour.

I've got a lot to learn about photography ...especially if I want to take the camera off the "Auto" mode.

I am loving this new Reindeer outfit for this season. I plan to add white rick rack and gingham bows to the pants to match the hat and shirt. So CUTE!!

Well, it has been quite awhile since I last posted ....where has the time gone?? I know -Kids, grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning, sewing, and kids again. I feel like the work is never done!

I keep telling myself I've got to get better at this blog thing. So I am going to try really, really hard to post some of my newest creations and custom Christmas work that I am currently doing.

There are so many new designs for the holidays that I am totally excited about!Here are just a few:
All of these designs can be placed on a onesie, t-shirt, or burp cloth along with a name for the perfect custom outfit. Don't forget the cute red ruffle pants that can be added to any of my girl tops!

The snowman works great as a sibling shirt for the holiday and can be worn way past Christmas!

Ok, so I couldn’t help myself …about two weeks ago Cora’s mom, Mandy, blogged about Cora and Cade trying to find a hot pink cape that Cade used to play with, but with no luck the cape was not found. Well, that got my wheels turning. I think every little girl fighting Cancer is a super hero and deserves a cape of her own. Here’s the final product:

A big thanks to Ava who was more than happy to model it for me. I think her and Oscar will be getting one next.

I couldn't leave out the bling for our super girls cape ...check out the button!

I feel pretty comfortable in sharing this now because she should either receive it today or tomorrow …it’s a surprise! Along with the cape were a few other goodies for her and Cade. I hope they enjoy!

A customer of mine, Lacey, recently brought a great idea to me ...take 2 decorative place mats, sew up three sides and then you'll have an instant pillow case! For little extra design, add monogramming to the center and ribbon on the opened end for bows.

OK, when I was nursing my little ones I did use a nursing cover when out in public. But how about saving some of the room in your diaper bag and use a Nursing Clip instead. Our new clips make any baby blanket a nursing cover! Just clip to a blanket and strap around your neck.

Also available, is a Bib Clip for babies and toddlers. With the Bib Clip you won't have to worry about forgetting a bib at home or putting a dirty bib back in the diaper bag. Just attach the bib clip to a cloth or paper napkin for an instant bib.
